Vienna-based Pendari Dance Group and the children's dance group Zlatni Pendarcheta will participate in the 11th Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance travelling festival, which will take place in Munich from May 15 to 17.

They will present the dance "Na Megdana". "This is our first dance. The theme of love can be expressed in an exciting way through the joint participation of all dancers from our association Pendari, Pendarcheta and accompanying members," the group member Martina Dragneva told BTA.

The choreography is by Galya Mileva and "brings together people of all ages and nationalities, making them happy by being together," Dragneva explained.

She said preparations for the festival involve "more intensive rehearsals, focusing on refining elements, achieving synchronization and coordinating the joint parts of all participants".

The Pendari Vienna Dance Group was established in 2013 and since 2018 has been part of the Bulgarian cultural association Izvor, together with the children's dance group Zlatni Pendarcheta. The association is known for organizing various cultural events in Vienna, including the Grand Horo in Vienna, Baba Marta celebrations and Epiphany (Yordanovden), among others.

The travelling festival Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance is organized by and for amateur folklore ensembles performing outside Bulgaria. The initiative was launched by the Ot Izvora group in Lyon, France, which hosted both the first edition in 2015 and the tenth edition in 2025. More than 100 dance ensembles and over 4,000 guests are expected at the 11th edition in Munich in May. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is the official media partner of the event and will present all participants.
