Bulgarian film The Lesson, directed by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov, will be screened at Dublin Central Library later in the day, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Ireland said on Friday.

The free event is part of the Library’s World Film Club and requires no reservation.

The award-winning 2014 drama follows a teacher’s attempts to instil morals in her pupils while grappling with the everyday problems of their lives and her own, the Embassy in Dublin said.

The film has Bulgarian audio and English subtitles, making it accessible to the widest possible audience.

BTA notes that The Lesson is a Bulgarian-Greek co-production starring Margita Gosheva, Ivan Barnev, Stefan Denolyubov, Ivan Savov, Ivanka Bratoeva and Andreya Todorova.
