site.btaGovernment Adopts Programme for Support of Bulgarian Communities, Organizations, Media Abroad in 2025

The Council of Ministers on Wednesday adopted a Programme for Support of Bulgarian Communities, Organizations and Media Abroad in 2025 and approved  BGN 180,000 in additional spending under the budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to that end.

The Programme is aimed at Bulgarian communities and organizations abroad that in times of continuous information exchange play an important role as a link between various representatives of Bulgarian diaspora, contributing to getting Bulgarians informed about processes, events and initiatives in and beyond the borders of Bulgaria.

The Government Information Service reported that the Programme will support initiatives of Bulgarian communities, organizations and media in the Western Balkans and Eastern European countries with traditional Bulgarian populations, aimed at building capacity to identify and counter fake news, disinformation and external interference and information manipulation.
