site.bta10th Expat Dance Festival Closes in Lyon

The official closing ceremony of the tenth edition of the travelling festival Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance took place on June 8, at the Palace of Sports in Lyon, France.

Among the official guests of the event were the Consul General of Bulgaria in Lyon Nadia Zhivkova-Vaneva, the Executive Director of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad Raina Manjukova and the Director General of the Bulgarian New Agency Kiril Valchev.

During the closing event, Anita Ekenova, the initiator of the idea for the event and the head of the Bulgarian folklore group Ot Izvora in Lyon, announced that the host of the eleventh edition of the traveling festival will be Lazarka dance group from Munich, Germany.

During the closing ceremony, Anita Ekenova welcomed on stage the Executive Director of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad Raina Manjukova.

Manjukova presented Ekenova with an honorary plaque for “outstanding services to the promotion of Bulgarian identity and culture, for the initiation and development over the years of the traveling festival and on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its founding.”
