An exhibition of Bulgarian artist Nedko Solakov opened at the Belvedere Museum in Vienna, the International Press Office of the City of Vienna announced on Thursday.

In the installation, the artist engages in a dialogue with his artistic conscience through his long-time friend, according to curator Charles Esche.

Bulgarian artist Nedko Solakov's artistic installation “A Cornered Solo Show #3 (with Charles Esche as my artistic conscience)” cannot be found in the Belvedere's representative exhibition halls. It is located in an inconspicuous corner in the museum's cloakroom and is a collage of pictorial and textual elements. In this in-between place of arrival and departure, Solakov introduces visitors to the themes of his art and engages them in an inner dialogue with the artist's conscience.

The installation will be on display in the Belvedere until June 19, 2024.
