Beli Rozi choir (Rose bianche) from Pescara, Italy, will participate in the 11th Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance travelling festival, which will be held from May 15 to 17 at BMW Park in Munich.
"We are proud to take part in the 11th Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance in Munich, Germany, where we will present three songs related to the theme of this year’s edition, 'Libe Le, Libe Hubavo' (My Love, My Beautiful Love)," Teresa Atanasova, Chair of the Beli Rozi Bulgarian-Italian Cultural Association, and Elena Dimitrova, conductor of the Beli Rozi choir, told BTA.
They added that through their participation they wish to send a heartfelt message to audiences "that our connection to Bulgarian roots and folk music is deep, alive and enduring, regardless of the distances separating us from our homeland. Folklore is our bridge to Bulgaria, it brings us together and inspires us."
Atanasova and Dimitrova also noted that preparations for the festival are extremely intensive and filled with enthusiasm.
Beli Rozi choir was founded in 2018 by Elena Dimitrova and a small group of Bulgarian women united by a shared dream, to preserve and promote Bulgarian folk songs far from their homeland. Today, the choir comprises 15 singers.
"For us, this will be a sixth participation in the festival – an experience that always fills us with emotion, inspiration and joy from meeting friends and like-minded people from all over the world. We are convinced that this year’s Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance will again offer unforgettable moments shared in the rhythm and spirit of Bulgarian song," Atanasova and Dimitrova added.
The travelling festival Expats Join Hands in Worldwide Dance is organized by and for amateur folklore ensembles performing outside Bulgaria. The initiative was launched by the Ot Izvora group in Lyon, France, which hosted the first edition in 2015 and the tenth edition in 2025. More than 100 dance ensembles and over 4,000 guests are expected at the 11th edition in Munich in May. The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is the official media partner of the event and will present all participants.
