site.btaAgerpres Head Sees in BTA's Romanian-Language LIK an Example to Follow

Claudia Nicolae, the head of Romanian news agency Agerpres, sees in BTA's Romanian-language version of its LIK magazine, BG SPA – Health Through Water, an example that Romania's national news agency could follow in promoting its own tourism sector. She spoke during the presentation of the publication at the Bookfest international book fair in Bucharest.

Nicolae said the partnership between BTA and Agerpres includes a shared responsibility to promote their respective countries, particularly among neighbouring audiences. She suggested that Agerpres could undertake a similar initiative highlighting what Romania has to offer Bulgarian tourists.

She also stressed the enduring value of printed publications, calling books and printed editions the foundation of news agencies' work and a lasting record of national history. In an increasingly complex information environment, Nicolae said trusted news agencies remain "pillars of trust" for the public, pointing to the long histories of both BTA, which marks its 128th anniversary this year, and Agerpres, which recently celebrated 136 years since its establishment.
