A key focus of Wave Resort’s spa philosophy is the deep connection with nature - the sea, minerals, and healing elements, characteristic of the Pomorie region, the resort’s marketing manager Tanya Gagova told BTA. She added that the complex continues to strengthen its image as a spa and wellness destination on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

Located in an area where the sea and salt pans create a unique natural balance, the resort has developed a spa approach based on local resources and their traditional use in balneology. The hotel’s core concept is to integrate these natural elements into a variety of therapies and procedures aimed at restoring both mind and body.

Among the signature spa treatments is the custom Wave Massage, which includes psammotherapy with warm black sand naturally enriched with magnetite - a rare mineral found in certain areas around Pomorie. Applying this type of sand is what contributes to the deeply relaxing and restorative effect of the treatment. The massage combines techniques from Eastern and Western practices such as shiatsu, anmo, Ayurveda, and Polynesian massage, Gagova said.

As part of its nature-based concept, the resort also offers therapies using Pomorie liman mud, known as the region’s "black gold". It is a valuable resource in Bulgarian balneology and is used for regeneration, detoxification, and enhancing the general tone of the body.

Lye therapy procedures are also part of the spa portfolio - they use mineral solutions rich in magnesium and trace elements, sourced from the salt pans in the Pomorie and Burgas areas, to support recovery processes.

Wave Resort’s spa centre also offers a variety of additional treatments, including the Egyptian Rasul bath, mud masks, water therapies, and anti-stress massages, combining modern spa techniques with the use of natural products and ingredients.

The spa concept is built around the use of the region’s unique natural resources and their application in various therapies, with a focus on restoring balance and improving the body’s overall condition.
