Hyatt Regency Pravets Resort enriches guests’ spa experience through investments in cultural and educational projects. One such project is the Bulgaria Land Cultural and Historical Park - an interactive park showcasing over 50 models of iconic Bulgarian landmarks in a miniature yet impactful scale. Another project is the annual classical music festival Pravets Art Nights, where guests can enjoy art and live music, the hotel’s general manager Atis Zaharans told BTA.
The heart of the complex in Pravets is Ortus Spa, which features an indoor 25-meter swimming pool, a sun terrace with mountain views, Finnish, Russian, and herbal saunas, steam baths, a salt room, a hammam, an ice room, and a unique Floating Salt Pool. In line with the philosophy of well-being, the resort offers a modern fitness centre equipped with the latest Technogym machines. Guests can participate in yoga retreats, play tennis, go cycling, and take advantage of professional football fields suitable for teams and team-building activities. The Pravets Golf Club, which features a championship course, is located in the immediate vicinity.
One of the most distinctive spaces in the complex is the private spa area. Spanning 150 sq. m, it offers everything needed for a personalized experience - massages, jacuzzi, a thermal area with saunas, and relaxation zones.
"The development of the spa concept is an ongoing process," Zaharans said. The seasonally updated programmes and therapies follow both global trends and the individual expectations of guests - a search for balance, health care, and an escape from the dynamic daily routine, he added.
The hotel reopened its doors after a complete renovation in June 2023. It welcomes tens of thousands of guests annually, establishing itself as a destination for both business and leisure. There is a trend toward extending business trips for leisure purposes, the manager said.
About 200 people work at the resort, some of whom are highly specialized professionals in the wellness sector. Staff shortage is overcome through in-house training and international talent recruitment channels. Hyatt Regency Pravets Resort was awarded Best Hotel Chain for 2024 and Green SPA Hotel for 2025.
BTA presents news from certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres in Bulgaria in its BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water feature. Their total number exceeds 200. The initiative, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, is linked to Europe's leading health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, which will be held from May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena. BTA will be the event's main media partner.
