The Borovets Hills SPA hotel in the Borovets resort offers a range of options for tourism and relaxation, the hotel’s manager, Georgi Spasov, told BTA.

The SPA center includes a salt room, bio sauna, aroma sauna, Finnish sauna, hammam, and steam bath. According to Spasov, guests most often prefer the swimming pool and the steam bath.

SPA services at the hotel are available year-round. The facility employs a medical specialist and two massage therapists and has been operating since 2008, when the hotel first opened. Children under the age of 14 are not allowed in the SPA complex without an accompanying adult, Spasov added.

Around 70% of visitors are Bulgarian and the rest are foreign tourists.

Spasov noted that the current season has been weaker compared to last year, with more overnight stays recorded previously but lower overall revenue reported this year.

BTA presents news from certified spa, wellness, and medical spa centres in Bulgaria in its BG SPA: Salus per aquam, Health Through Water feature. Their total number exceeds 200. The initiative, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA Tourism, is linked to Europe's leading health tourism event, the HEALTHXCHANGE SUMMIT, which will be held from May 11 to 13, 2026, in Varna, Sts. Constantine and Helena, Golden Sands, and Albena. BTA will be the event's main media partner.
