Deputy Justice Minister Emil Dechev is participating at an informal conference entitled "On the path to justice for Ukraine: Advancing Accountability, Supporting the Resilience of its Justice System and Reuniting Children with their Families," which is taking place in Riga, Latvia, on Monday, the Ministry of Justice reported. The conference is held under the Latvian Presidency of the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers in cooperation with the Latvian Ministry of Justice.

The main focus will be on discussing decisions taken during the Council of Europe Summit in Reykjavik, Iceland, on May 17, 2023. The ministers attending will consider how the Council of Europe and its member states can enhance their support for the Ukrainian justice system and help to provide an international response to the aggression by the Russian Federation and its consequences.
