Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) Director General Kiril Valchev and National News Agency of Ukraine Ukrinform Director General Oleksandr Kharchenko signed Saturday an agreement on cooperation during the official opening of the BTA National Press Club in Odessa, Ukraine. The agreement stipulates that each country will receive the news services of the other, including news bulletins in English.
"We are signing a contract in BTA's new Odessa home, according to which BTA will start buying news from Ukrinform, as is the practice with other news agencies that work only on a commercial basis," Valchev said. News from the BTA correspondent in Odessa about the Bulgarians from Ukraine will be able to reach the Ukrainian media through Ukrinform, which can freely use BTA's feeds, Valchev noted.
