site.btaDefence Minister Tagarev to Attend NATO Ministerial in Brussels

Bulgarian Defence Minister Todor Tagarev will attend a meeting of NATO defence ministers in Brussels on June 15-16, the Defence Ministry said.

In Brussels Tagarev will participate in a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, hosted by the US Defence Minister. Also participating will be Defence Chief Admiral Emil Eftimov. “We should continue to provide support to Ukraine,” said  the Defence Minister after the first meeting of the new regular government.

On the agenda will be NATO’s deterrence and defence capabilities within the context of the preparations of the NATO summit in Vilnius. The defence ministers will be also discuss increasing the industrial capacity of NATO member countries for providing defence products and ammunition and long-term political and practical support to Ukraine. 

Within the framework of the forum a ceremony for signing an annex to the Memorandum of Understanding on the Multinational Warehousing Ammunition Initiative will take place.
