Three people, including a minor, were injured in a large-scale attack in the Odesa region, Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Administration, reported on his Telegram channel on Saturday night. The Odessa region was subjected to a combined attack on the region’s civilian infrastructure, Kiper said.
Damage was inflicted on an agro-industrial enterprise, three grain storage facilities, and a private residential building. All relevant services are working to address the aftermath of the strikes.
Bulgarians in the Odesa region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
