Bulgarian National Assembly Chair Raya Nazaryan will participate in the Second Bucha Summit in Ukraine on March 31, the Assembly's press service said on Monday.

The meeting, organized by the Verkhovna Rada (the parliament) of Ukraine, will be attended by speakers and leadership members of national parliaments from EU member states, Moldova and the United Kingdom, as well as the European Parliament, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.

Among the main topics to be discussed by the participants will be the humanitarian challenges caused by the ongoing military aggression and energy security in the context of attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

The Second Summit in Bucha is expected to adopt a joint statement condemning Russia's illegal, unprovoked and unjustified war of aggression against Ukraine. The participants are also expected to reaffirm their unwavering commitment to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and the full respect for the sovereignty, political independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Before the opening of the summit, participants will pay tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Bucha massacre at a commemorative ceremony in the Church of St Andrew.

Nazaryan's itinerary includes meetings at the Verkhovna Rada in Kyiv.
