Two people were injured in a drone strike on a public transport stop in Ukraine's Odesa Region on Monday evening, Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said on his Telegram channel.
"Those injured are an 18-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man. Doctors have assessed their condition as moderately serious. They are receiving medical care," Kiper wrote.
He said the heavy Russian attack also damaged transport and energy infrastructure, leaving parts of the city without electricity. Emergency services are on site addressing the aftermath.
Bulgarians in Odesa Region number more than 150,000 and were the third largest population group in Ukraine in 2001, according to the official census. About 50,000 - 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odesa. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
