A proposed roadmap for quality jobs comes against the backdrop of the exhausted effect of several binding European documents that no longer fully reflect the impact of algorithmic systems on the working environment in all industries and sectors, Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) President Plamen Dimitrov said on Monday during the "Green Transition Forum 5.0: Competitiveness and Innovation in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE)" forum held at the Sofia Event Center.
The forum, dedicated to green innovation and sustainable development, will last until June 20 and is organized by Green Transition Forum and Dir.bg. BTA is a media partner.
There is a lot to be done and regulated. For us it is extremely important because at the moment the development of artificial intelligence is unpredictable," Dimitrov noted. He stressed the need for a separate mechanism to invest in quality jobs in the industry.
"We believe that a special financial instrument should be developed to support industries, create added value and introduce targeted innovations in certain sectors," he said. The minimum wage directive, he said, relies on just such an approach. Dimitrov added that if the European Commission gives the opportunity, European funding should be used to increase capacities and for joint actions in the field of skills.
