The Labour and Social Policy Ministry has taken concrete measures to increase the control and effectiveness of training with electronic vouchers, which are provided free of charge by the Employment Agency, Labour Minister Borislav Gutsanov said at a meeting with the nationally representative organizations of trade unions and employers, as quoted by the Ministry's press centre on Friday.
The main topic of discussion was the need for increased control over training providers for the employed and unemployed and improving their efficiency.
Gutsanov urged the trade unions to take an active part in controlling the delivery of EU-funded training, in particular digital competence courses. "It is important for us to know what suggestions you have for improving the system", he said.
During the meeting, the challenges related to the global processes caused by the war in Ukraine and the new trade tariffs of the US were also discussed. The social partners presented their proposals for State measures to protect business and the economy in the country.
During the discussion, it was agreed that meetings between the Ministry's team and the social partners should be held regularly. The drafting of a roadmap for pension reform was identified as the main topic for the next meeting, scheduled for mid-May.
