At its sitting on Wednesday, the National Assembly voted, 156-3 with 41 abstentions, to hold a hearing of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov on Thursday over his visit to Ukraine of February 26. Defence Minister Todor Tagarev will also be heard. The hearings were proposed by the BSP for Bulgaria and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms, respectively.

Again at the proposal of the BSP for Bulgaria, Parliament added to its agenda for this week a bill on representative actions for protecting consumers' collective interests. The proposal got 156 votes in favour, 1 against, and 41 abstentions.

BSP for Bulgaria Floor Leader Korneliya Ninova said that the bill was tabled by the caretaker government when the regular government was being formed.

On Tuesday, Ninova said Denkov should be heard over his statement that Bulgaria is ready to discuss a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine. "In the context of the meeting of the European leaders in Paris, we read this as a readiness to provide troops," she explained. In reaction, Denkov told reporters that that the question of sending troops had not been raised at all during his visit to Kyiv. On Wednesday morning, Tagarev told bTV that Bulgaria will not send soldiers to Ukraine, and that this matter is not being discussed.
