Green Activists Rally against Pollution from Maritsa 3 TPP, Plant Workers Counter-Protest
Two opposing rallies have gathered here on Sunday to express their views on the future of Dimitrovgrad's Maritsa 3 Thermal Power Plant (TPP).

Greenpeace activists climbed one of the chimneys of the Maritsa 3 thermal power plant in Dimitrovgrad. Seven people took part in the demonstration, which was in protest against the regular air pollution and abuses by the coal plant, the organization said.
Participants in the action came from Bulgaria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Croatia, Greece and Romania. It began in the early hours of Monday, and is being broadcast live.
