site.btaBulgaria to Participate in London Book Fair 2024

For the first time, Bulgaria will participate in the prestigious London Book Fair 2024, Bulgarian Cultural Institute Director Svetla Dionisieva told BTA Wedesday. The event will be taking place in March 12-14.

The Bulgarian stand will offer an opportunity for Bulgarian authors, translators, book publishers and literary agencies to network, show their products and find partners.

The Bulgarian stand is number 2C20, located on the second floor in Olympia Hall, Kensington.

Its programme includes a meeting with Georgi Gospodinov and Angela Rodel, the writer-translator duo who won the 2023 International Booker Prize for Rodel's translation of Gospodinov's novel Time Shelter (at 14:30 hrs on March 12) and, at 19:00 hrs the same day, a presentation of the English edition of the 20th-century Bulgarian classic The Case of Cem by Vera Mutafchieva's. Translator is Angela Rodel and publisher Sandorf Passage.
