site.btaJazz Takes Centre Stage in New Issue of BTA's LIK Magazine

“Bulgaria in Jazz” is the theme of LIK magazine's October issue that BTA will be launching later on Friday. It is dedicated to jazz music and the jazz festivals organized across the country.

The premiere of the issue will take place in Ruse jointly via video link with BTA’s national press clubs across Bulgaria and abroad.

On the same date, the Danube city will also host the opening of the 48th edition of Bulgaria’s oldest active jazz festival – the Ruse National Jazz Meeting, first held in 1975.

The new LIK issue has a map of jazz festivals in Bulgaria, listing around 70 different events - most of them still active today, others discontinued over time, and some featuring only jazz elements. There are also interviews with musicians, jazz festival organizers, and mayors of towns where such events take place.
