site.btaVazrazhdane Backs President's Proposal for Referendum on Preservation of Bulgarian Lev

"The Bulgarian president, albeit late, has taken into account the calls of Vazrazhdane and the sentiment of the vast majority of the Bulgarian people and has said that he will submit a request for a referendum on the preservation of the Bulgarian lev. We, of course, support this," wrote Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov on Facebook.

According to Kostadinov, the question immediately arises what will happen after, or if, "the parliamentary majority of GERB, MRF, BSP, TISP, CC-DB and probably some of the smaller Peevski’s crutches like MECh and Velichie reject the referendum. Or if they delay the vote by months, as they are doing for the third month now with our request, once again postponed to May 7."
