site.btaLukoil's Inventory to Be Physically Counted, PM Glavchev Said
The inventory of Lukoil is to be physically counted in the coming days, caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said at the beginning of Wednesday's Cabinet meeting.
The decision to carry out such count, which has not been conducted so far, was made at a special meeting Glavchev that held on Tuesday with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova, Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov, Economy Minister Petko Nikolov, National Revenue Agency (NRA) Executive Director Rumen Spetsov and National Customs Agency (NCA) Director Georgi Dimov.
At that meeting, the heads of the NRA and the NCA said that, contrary to allegations that the Russian-controlled company had stopped paying VAT and customs duties due to the Exchequer, Lukoil generate BGN 90 million in VAT and customs duties revenue for February 2024, BGN 40 million for March and BGN 228 million for April.
The check will begin in the coming days, and the media will be informed of the results, the PM said.
