The Government adopted a decision appointing four new regional governors for the Blagoevgrad, Vidin, Dobrich and Pleven regions, the Cabinet's press centre said on Wednesday.

Georgi Dinev was appointed as Blagoevgrad Governor. He was a member of the 44th, 45th and 46th National Assemblies.  He was also Petrich Municipal Council Chair.  

Ani Harutyunyan was appointed as Vidin Regional Governor. Until now she was deputy governor of the same region. She is a lecturer at the Department of Political Science at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia.

Rumen Rusev was appointed Dobrich Reigonal Governor. He has been Secretary General of the Dobrich Regional Administration since 2016. A lawyer by education, he has many years of experience in administration.

Nikolay Abrashev is the new Regional Governor of Pleven, having been deputy regional governor there until now.  He worked in the Pleven Municipality, where he was a mediator, responsible for youth activities - programs and employment.

Violeta Ieremieva, who was dismissed from the post of Pleven Regional Governor today, will be appointed Deputy Regional Governor of the same district.
