site.btaCabinet Approves Draft Memorandum of Cooperation with Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development

The Council of Ministers Friday adopted a decision approving a draft Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of Technological Innovation between the Ministry of Innovation and Growth of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Memorandum will support the development of bilateral economic cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan through joint initiatives of the two institutions.

The Memorandum foresees cooperation between the two institutions in order to enhance the capacity and competitiveness of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan through cooperation, particularly in the field of innovation and high value-added technologies, including emerging technologies, microelectronics, space policies and technologies, digital health, biotechnology, food technologies, exchange of IT specialists and to develop and strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the countries.

The two sides will cooperate to promote and coordinate programmes in support of the activities of their respective sectors to enhance mutual cooperation in the fields of technological innovation to ensure digital and green transition, emerging technologies, microelectronics and space policies and technologies, digital health, biotechnology, food technology, exchange of IT professionals and related research and education initiatives.
