site.btaBulgarian Ambassador to Cyprus Meets with Larnaca Mayor

Social and cultural matters concerning the Bulgarian community in Cyprus were discussed between Nedelcho Danchev, the Bulgarian ambassador to the island country, and Andreas Vyras, the mayor of the southeastern coast city of Larnaca, the Cyprus News Agency reported on February 5, quoting a press release by Larnaca Town Hall.

The ambassador visited the mayor in his office on February 2. The talks were attended by Bulgarian community representative Todor Zdravkov and Bulgarche Cultural Club President Anelia Hristova.

The sides discussed the two countries' relations as well as social and cultural issues concerning the Bulgarian community. They considered plans for a Bulgarian folklore fair which will be held on October 5 under the auspices of Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Iotova and the Bulgarian Embassy in Cyprus with the support of Larnaca Town Hall.

Vyras acknowledged the contribution of the Bulgarian members of the community of Larnaca.
