GERB, Reformist Bloc
Agree on
Future Government Priorities

Sofia, November 2 (BTA) - By noon on Monday, GERB and the
Reformist Bloc will put forward a programme declaration on the
priorities of the future government, said Reformist Bloc's
Meglena Kuneva after a meeting with GERB on Sunday. She was
quoted by Bulgarian National Radio.

The programme declaration will have chapters on foreign policy,
justice, economy and growth, public finances, EU funds, changes
to public procurement legislation, e-government and state
administration, education and science, social policy,
healthcare, energy, transport and infrastructure, regional
policy, agriculture and forestry, environment and environmental
protection, disaster risk control and prevention, culture,
improving public environment and defence, security and public
order.

Kuneva said that Sunday's meeting did not discuss the structure
of the cabinet.
The programme will be sent to the Patriotic Front and ABV for
consideration and comments, she said.

On Monday, meetings will continue between the parliamentary
groups of the two parties.

Ahead of the meeting MEP Tomislav Donchev of GERB told
journalists that
GERB are ready to support a government formed on their mandate,
headed by Democrats for Strong Bulgaria leader Radan Kanev.

Donchev said it was still too early to discuss individual
cabinet appointments. He underscored, however, that if the
Reformist Bloc were unhappy with any government posts, GERB were
ready to support Radan Kanev as prime minister. According to
Donchev, the main scenario was a cabinet headed by GERB leader
Boyko Borissov. He added that a third option for early elections
"was not good". PK/PP.
