On April 29, the transport of the military-technical assistance to Ukraine, based on a parliamentary decision and determined by the Council of Ministers Decision No 134 of February23, was completed, the Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday.

The Ministry will continue to provide military and military-technical assistance to Ukraine in implementation of the decisions taken by the National Assembly, the statement said.

On April 14, caretaker Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov said there was a delay in the timeline for the delivery of military aid to Ukraine. He added that there are two packages to be sent, one of which was decided by the Bulgarian government in November, but the blame in this case does not lie only with the Ministry of Defence, because there is also an international coordination centre for aid to Ukraine. "For the last package, which has been approved since March, we will use other means - our funding, our procedures, to speed up the delivery in any way," Zapryanov said, adding that everything that was planned from the first packages has already arrived in Ukraine and has been handed over.
