Justice Ministry Signs Child Protection Memorandum with UNICEF

A Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation for the Protection of Children's Rights was signed in Sofia between the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry's National Office for Legal Assistance (NOLA) and UNICEF Bulgaria. The parties to the memorandum will work to improve access to justice for at-risk children and child victims or witnesses of violence and crime, and to protect unaccompanied child refugees.

Sofia to Host International Cameralia Festival September 21 to October 9

The sixth edition of the international festival Cameralia will run from September 21 to October 9, Ludmil Angelov, chairman of the Piano Extravaganza Foundation and artistic director of the event, said on Wednesday. Bulgarian politicians react to North Macedonia Deputy PM's claims TISP MP Balabanov: North Macedonia Will Not Enter EU with Such Behaviour

Speaking in Parliament on Thursday, There Is Such a People (TISP) MP Stanislav Balabanov said that North Macedonia will not enter the European Union if its politicians continue behaving the way they do. His statement was prompted by an interview North Macedonia's Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski gave to TV Alfa on Wednesday, criticizing the absence of his country's national flag in a photo of Presidents Rumen Radev and Gordana Siljanovska during Siljanovska's visit to Sofia on September 13. Nikoloski stating that "both the [Bulgarian] political parties and the President are trying to gain advantages at the expense of [North] Macedonia."
