BTA's National Press Club in the town of Svishtov was officially opened on June 27, 2023, the day the Danube town celebrates its liberation.

This is BTA's third national press club outside regional towns in Bulgaria - after the ones in Kazanlak and Samokov. The press club in Svishtov will help the news from the town to reach all Bulgarian media, the most important ones - in the English-language feed and outside the country, BTA Director General Kiril Valchev said at the opening. He expressed hope that the news from Svishtov would restore interest at the national level towards the remarkable town.

Father Michael blessed the BTA Press Club in Svishtov. The ribbon was cut by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev, Svishtov Mayor Gencho Genchev, Regional Governor Georgi Guguchkov, writer Yordan Evtimov, Public Financial Inspection Agency Director Stefan Belchev and Director of Executive Agency “Certification Audit of European Agricultural Funds” Lachezar Spasov. Guests of the event were Vazrazhdane MP Stanislav Stoyanov, Svishtov Deputy Mayor Stanislava Stoyanova, Deputy Rector of Academy of Economics in Svishtov Rumen Erusalimov, representatives of institutions and the media.

The first BTA correspondent in Svishtov is Liliya Yordanova, who will also manage BTA's 32nd national press club.
