site.btaBulgaria Participating in IMEX Frankfurt Expo for Congress Tourism

Bulgaria participates in IMEX Frankfurt from May 14 to 16 with a stall of 50 sq m, the Tourism Ministry said in a press release Wednesday. Represented at Europe's biggest expo for congress and business tourism are 2,800 companies from 60 countries and some 3,500 specialists in the field of conference and event tourism. 

Represented at the Bulgarian stall are six companies. Within IMEX Frankfurt, they will hold presentations, business meetings and discussions with representatives of world brands, chains, and specialists in the field of event planning and organization.

Business trips are becoming one of the most profitable tourist segments. For Bulgaria, attracting congresses and conferences provides tourists to fill the capacities at the start and end of the season, a large amount of additional services, and a quality product with high value added. The country's advantages as a destination for such events include renovated hotels of a high category, good accessibility and connectivity with main markets and transport hubs in Europe, and excellent price-quality balance, the Tourism Ministry said.
