Hospital bed utilization rate in Bulgaria is 48.94%, according to April data from the interactive map on the website of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), published on Friday. The NHIF has signed contracts with hospitals for 49,812 beds.

The NHIF has signed contracts with 3,106 individual practices for primary outpatient medical care in the country and 214 group practices, the interactive map shows. Contracts in specialized outpatient care have been signed with 2,637 individual practices and 727 with medical centres and diagnostic and consultative centres. The number of contracts concluded in primary outpatient dental care is 5,747 and in specialized outpatient dental care is 100.

The NHIF, in cooperation with Information Services, has started a new process for presenting information related to its activities, which will be provided through the interactive map. The map will provide easier access to the topics of most interest to users in an interactive way, the NHIF press service said. The map is to be gradually upgraded and made available in English.
