site.btaBulgarian Chief of Defence Receives France's National Order of Merit

In Brussels on Thursday, General Thierry Burkhard, Chief of the Defence Staff of France, presented Bulgaria's Chief of Defence, Admiral Emil Eftimov with the insignia of an Officer of the French National Order of Merit, the Bulgarian Defence Ministry said in a press release.

The Admiral was honoured for his extraordinary services to strengthening European defence and attaining the EU's common defence goals, and to the promotion of bilateral defence cooperation between Bulgaria and France.

Bulgaria's Chief of Defence is in Brussels for meetings of the EU and NATO Military Committees on May 15 and 16.
