site.btaDeputy Prime Minister Petkova Will Chair Council for People with Disabilities

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova will chair the National Council for People with Disabilities. Vice-Presidents will be the Labour Minister Ivaylo Ivanov and Health Minister Galya Kondeva. Each ministry is represented by a deputy prime minister on the council.

The National Council for Persons with Disabilities is a consultative body for cooperation in the development and implementation of the policy on the rights of people with disabilities at the Council of Ministers. In addition to the representatives of the state, the nationally representative organizations of and for people with disabilities, the nationally representative organizations of employees, the nationally representative organizations of employers and the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria also participate in it.
