By order of caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, six deputy ministers have been appointed, the Cabinet press service reported on Friday evening.

Boyko Penkov and Dobromira Kareva were appointed caretaker Deputy Ministers of Health.

Penkov has experience working in the healthcare industry. He has served as deputy minister of health on four occasions. Former director of the National Health Insurance Fund, medical director of the University Hospital of Pulmonary Diseases, manager of the University Hospital Sofiamed.

Kareva is an economist by training. Has managerial experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and marketing. Involved in consulting activities in organic and inorganic pharmaceutical chemistry over the past two years.

Ilko Ganev was appointed caretaker Deputy Minister of Culture. Holds a PhD in Theatre Studies from the Institute of Art Studies at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Has worked for the Union of Bulgarian Actors in projects related to theatre, cinema, circus, social policy initiatives, charitable causes, and creative activities for the integration of children and young people with disabilities.

Pavlin Petrov was appointed caretaker Deputy Minister of Tourism. Co-chair of the Bulgarian Association of Restaurants. Holds a Master's degree in Economics and Tourism from the Dimitar A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov.

Viktor Atanasov was appointed caretaker Deputy Minister of Environment and Water. Manager of a private company. Has worked in the Ministry of Finance. Holds a Master's degree in Marketing and Management from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia. Holds a degree from City University of Seattle.

Georgi Samandov was appointed caretaker Deputy Minister of Energy. Holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Equipment from the Technical University of Sofia. Appointed to the position of Director of Energy Markets at a company in the energy sector in December 2013. Appointed to the position of caretaker deputy energy minister in 2021.

Three caretaker deputy ministers have been relieved of their duties: deputy labour and social policy minister Ginka Mashova, deputy culture minister Viktor Stoyanov and deputy education and science minister Marieta Georgieva.
