Heavy traffic for trucks at some of Bulgaria's border crossings with Romania, Greece and Turkiye, the Border Police General Directorate said on Tuesday. The information about the traffic at the Bulgarian border crossings is as of 6 am.

On the border with Romania, traffic is heavy at the Vidin, Kardam, Oryahovo and Durankulak border crossing points at the exit for trucks.

Between 9 am and 7 pm, up to and including March 27, the passage of freight motor vehicles over 3.5 tonnes through the Durankulak border crossing is temporarily suspended, due to construction and repair works on the international road I-9 on the territory of Romania adjacent to the border crossing point.

At the border with Greece, traffic is heavy at the exit for trucks at the Kulata border crossing. Only cars and vans can pass through Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad border crossing points.

At the border with Turkiye, traffic is heavy at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing at the exit for freight vehicles.

On the border with Serbia, traffic is normal at all border crossing points. Construction works at the Kalotina border crossing require temporary narrowing of the lanes and reorganisation of the traffic of the vehicles passing through. During the holidays, those travelling by car should bear in mind that the temporary organisation of traffic before and in the area of the border crossing may extend crossing times, the Border Police warned.

At the border with North Macedonia, traffic is normal at all border crossing points.
