At a solemn ceremony President Rumen Radev honoured Lachezar Traykov, Ilza Pajeva, Ivan Granitski, Andrey Pantev, Grady Assa and Vanya Moneva with the Presidential Badge of Honour. The Head of State expressed his gratitude to their "indisputable contribution to the strengthening of our national spirit and self-confidence, to the development of Bulgarian culture, education and science."

Lachezar Traykov was awarded on the occasion of his 65th anniversary, for his highly significant contribution as a respected physician, distinguished scientist and university lecturer in the field of neurology, and for merits of his overall activity to the development and international reputation of Bulgaria's contemporary medical research field.

Ilza Pajeva was honoured on the occasion of her 70th anniversary, for her outstanding contribution as an internationally renowned scientist and scientific leader in the field of biological sciences, and for her overall academic contribution to the development and reputation of contemporary Bulgarian science. 

Ivan Granitski was awarded on the occasion of his 70th anniversary, for his distinguished public role as a writer, poet, journalist, editor, publicist and publisher, and for merits of his comprehensive work and scientific contributions to the development and reputation of contemporary Bulgarian literature, journalism and editorial activity.

Andrey Pantev was honoured on the occasion of his 85th anniversary, for his outstanding contribution as a respected historian, prominent Bulgarian scholar and university lecturer, and for merits of his overall activity and scientific contributions to the development and advancement of Bulgaria's contemporary historical science. 

Greddy Assa was awarded on the occasion of his 70th anniversary, for his distinguished contribution as a respected artist and university lecturer, and for merits of his overall work to the development and international reputation of contemporary Bulgarian fine art. 

Vanya Moneva was honoured on the occasion of her 70th birth anniversary and 50th years of artistic work, for her outstanding contribution as conductor and chief artistic director of world-famous Bulgarian choir formations, and for her leading role in the development of contemporary choir singing in Bulgaria.
