Metropolitan Naum of Ruse, Protopriest Kiril Sinev and the priest of Bulgarians in Romania are on a visit to Bucharest on Friday to commemorate the spiritual patron of the Romanian capital - Saint Demetrius the New of Basarabov. They will take part in a festive liturgy, which will be celebrated at the Romanian Patriarchal Cathedral in the city.

"Considering this event’s importance for the spiritual and cultural life of Bucharest, we invite you to participate in the celebration," Patriarch Daniel of Romania’s invitation to the Bulgarian clergymen says.

The relics of Saint Demetrius of Basarabov are kept in the Patriarchal Cathedral in Bucharest, where the laity will also have the opportunity to worship at the miraculous icon of the Mother of God.
