Fourteen illegal migrants were detained as they were entering the south-central town of Kazanlak, the Regional Directorate of the Interior in Stara Zagora told BTA on Monday.

The foreign nationals were riding in a Hyundai with a 20-year-old driver. The vehicle was stopped for a check by a police patrol at 6:40 p.m. on Sunday.

The fourteen men, aged 20 to 30, had no IDs and said they were Syrians.

They were detained for 24 hours and an investigation has started.
