site.btaParliament Leader: Energy, Economy, Environmen Are Interconnected, Environment Cannot Be Considered on Its Own
Addressing the Green Week 2023 forum in Sofia Tuesday, National Assembly President Rosen Zhelyazkov spoke about how energy, economy and environment are interconnected and should be considered as an integrated whole. "Energy, economy and environmental protection are so interconnected that we cannot consider the environmental aspect without the other two," he sai in his remarks at the Green Week 2023 forum in Sofia.
In the short term, there are several important initiatives that the Bulgarian Parliament has to adopt, Zhelyazkov said. He mentioned three laws: the Renewable Energy Act, the regulation of the retail electricity market until 2026 via the Energy Act, and the Energy Efficiency Act.
According to him, one topic that is very important is to meet the expectations that the retail electricity market will remain regulated until 2026.
