The seventh edition of the Bulgarian Festival "The Roses of Bulgaria" was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on May 11 at the Immigration Museum of the State of Sao Paulo. The festival programme was divided into three parts where visitors and guests had the opportunity to get to know Bulgaria through culture, folklore, and cuisine.

In honour of the Bulgarian festival, the Bulgarian national flag and the flag of the European Union were hung above the main entrance of the Museum next to the Brazilian flag.

Official guests of the event were Bulgarian Ambassador to Brazil Bojidara Sartchadjieva, the Honorary Consul of Bulgaria in Belo Horizonte Renato Rusev and the President of the cultural society of Bulgarians in Brazil, Nelson Grekov.

The first part of the festival, dedicated to Bulgarian culture, featured a concert celebrating 15 years since the founding of the Bulgarian School in Sao Paulo.

In the second segment of the programme, the guests and visitors viewed three exhibitions presenting Bulgarian life and culture and tasted various paste treats from the Bulgarian national cuisine.

The festival, which has become a tradition over the years, is organized by the team of the Bulgarian School in Sao Paulo, on the initiative of the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science and with the support of the Bulgarian Embassy in Brazil and the Immigration Museum in Sao Paulo.
