site.bta Bulgarian Ship Sinks to Be Screened in Rome Sept. 23

The Bulgarian film Bulgarian Ship Sinks (2022) will be screened at Casa del Cinema Largo Marcello Mastroianni, 1, Roma on September 23, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Rome said on its Facebook page. Petrinel Gochev's film tells the story of children and their dreams.

The film was written by Petrinel Gochev and Gergana Zmiicharova and stars Veselin Anchev, Alen Angelov and Vesela Babinova.

Shortly before the screening, Maria Bakalova, who earned an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actress in 2021, will meet Bulgarians and will answer questions.

The two events are taking place in the context of the 16th Bulgarian Film Festival in Rome. It will be opened by Culture Minister Krastyu Krastev and Bulgarian Ambassador Todor Stoyanov.
