In the framework of the festival "Evenings of Bulgarian Culture" folklore groups from community centres in Harmanli and Svilengrad presented Bulgarian costumes and folk dances in the Albanian city of Durres, the Bulgarian Embassy in Tirana wrote on its official website.

"On July 24, the groups presented a programme in the central pedestrian part of Tirana, arousing great interest among the locals," the diplomatic mission said.

Subsequently, the participants in the festival visited the Embassy in Tirana, where they were welcomed by acting mission head Petar Prinov and other diplomats.

On behalf of the municipalities of Harmanli and Svilengrad, the leaders of the groups presented an honorary plaque and materials promoting the cultural events, the Embassy added.
