Bulgarian President Iliana Iotova and acting President of Kosovo Albulena Haxhiu discussed opportunities for deepening bilateral relations in numerous areas, and an agreement on defence cooperation is set to be signed, the presidential press secretariat reported. The discussion was held as part of the South-East European Cooperation Process summit that took place here on Wednesday.
Iotova expressed gratitude to Pristina for its policy toward the Bulgarian community in Kosovo, noting that the country serves as a model in this regard. Haxhiu emphasized that Pristina does not discriminate in the integration of different communities and strives to protect their rights.
Haxhiu expressed gratitude to Iotova for Bulgaria's support on Kosovo's path to membership in NATO and the European Union.
