Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov held talks with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, in Paris, the Government press service said in a Facebook post Tuesday.

Gurov highlighted before von der Leyen the caretaker Cabinet’s active work to implement all measures under the Recovery and Resilience Plan in preparation for submitting the request for the fourth payment. The Prime Minister said that Bulgaria is making maximum efforts to maintain the same pace ahead of the fifth payment as well, the statement added.

The Bulgarian Prime Minister underlined his Cabinet’s commitment to meeting the timetable for fulfilling the requirements related to the effective absorption of European funds.

Gurov is participating in the Second Nuclear Energy Summit, taking place in Paris. He was welcomed by Emmanuel Macron, President of France, and Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the government press office said.
