site.btaMt Vitosha to Host Mountain Bike Enduro Championship Round

Mt Vitosha, which overlooks Sofia from the south, will host the 12th consecutive Home Mountain Enduro competition under the auspices of Sofia Municipality and the Sofia - European Capital of Sport Foundation, the organizers of the event said on Friday.

This year, the focus has shifted to four special stages with an overall length of 7 km-plus and a vertical drop of over 1,250 m. The routes have been chosen to push competitors' capabilities to the limit, from steep technical sections to high-speed sections requiring precision and impeccable control.

The main base of the competition will be located at the lower station of the Vitoshko Lale 1 Lift, where there will be music, refreshing drinks, and a specially designated bike wash with professional cleaning machines. The official training sessions are scheduled for June 13, and the final descents will take place on June 14. All entrants and the winners in the individual categories will get numerous prizes.
