The Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) announced that the head coach of the women’s national team, Silvia Radoyska, will leave her post after her contract expired. A former long-time national player and captain, Radoyska has led the team since 2019, when the women’s program was reinstated after a seven-year break.

The BFU thanked her for her work and contribution to the development of women’s football in the country.

A new head coach is expected to be named in the coming weeks, no later than January. According to football insiders, the leading candidates are Angel Slavov and Troyan Radulov, currently coach of the Bulgarian women under-19 national team.

Under Radoyska’s leadership, Bulgaria achieved progress in the UEFA Nations League, reaching a playoff for advancement to League B before losing to Ukraine.
