site.btaEconomy Ministry Designated as Contact Point Under EU Net-Zero Industry Act

The government designated the Ministry of Economy, Investments and Industry as Bulgaria's Single Point of Contact under Regulation (EU) 2024/1735 on establishing a framework of measures for strengthening Europe's net-zero technology manufacturing ecosystem.

The Single Point of Contact will support and coordinate the permitting process for manufacturing projects in the field of net-zero technologies, including strategic projects, while also providing information on the relevant administrative procedures and regulatory requirements.

The unit will serve as the main point of contact for investors, coordinating cooperation between all competent authorities involved in issuing the necessary permits. It will also provide easily accessible online information on the required documentation, the various stages of the permitting process and the applicable legal requirements.

The regulation covers 19 strategic net-zero technologies, including solar, wind and hydropower technologies, batteries, heat pumps, hydrogen, biogas and biomethane, carbon capture and storage, electricity grid technologies, and nuclear technologies.
