site.btaKrasimir Shopov Appointed Director General of National Railway Infrastructure Company

Engineer Krasimir Shopov has been appointed Director General of the National Railway Infrastructure Company (NRIC) by order of Transport and Communications Minister Georgi Peev, the Ministry's press centre said on Friday.

Shopov has more than 35 years of professional experience in railway construction, infrastructure project management and railway infrastructure. Over the course of his career, he has held various expert and managerial positions within the Transport Construction and Recovery company. Before his appointment as Director General, he served as Director of the Sofia Railway Section at the National Railway Infrastructure Company.

He holds a Master's degree in Transport Construction from the Todor Kableshkov Higher School of Transport and a Master's degree in Applied Psychology from Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv.

Under the same ministerial order, Transport and Communications Minister Georgi Peev relieved the previous Director General, Engineer Yordan Varbanov, of his duties.
